A few things
before you start.
Does generation run locally?+
Supported generation runs on your Mac with locally installed model weights. App and model downloads require an internet connection.
Which Mac will I need?+
LocalBoy currently supports Apple Silicon M5-series MacBooks. More compatibility confirmations are coming. We recommend at least 24 GB of unified memory, with 120 GB of storage space required. LocalBoy can run at full speed from an external SSD connected to your Mac.
Which models can I use?+
MiniMax H3 for video generation; Krea 2 Turbo, FLUX.2 Klein and MOSS Image Base for images; and Gemma 4 and Qwen-series language models. More model compatibility is on the way.
When can I download it?+
Available in November 2026. The Mac installer will be available here at launch.
